# Firmware Recovery

Holding the push button for 3-7 seconds while powering on the device in the arming mode will enable access to the firmware recovery web console. From this mode you can browse to the recovery console at [http://192.168.1.1](http://192.168.1.1/) from a computer connected to the Ethernet In port.

In some cases where an IP address is not obtained from the Packet Squirrel’s DHCP server, a static IP address must be set within the 192.168.1.x range in order to access the firmware recovery web console.
